Every bride wants to have a stress free wedding day, but that can be hard when planning a wedding. We have come up with a few tips for a relaxed and a stress free wedding day.
If you’re a bride-to-be who’s stressing over your upcoming wedding, you’re not alone. Anxiety about the big day is natural, but it doesn’t have to turn into weeks of sleepless nights and teary phone calls to your bestie.
To help you start getting some rest and relaxation as you prepare for your big day, here are five stress-busting tips for the bride-to-be:
Finalise your wedding timeline before
You don’t want to waste any time on your wedding day figuring out what happens next. Whether it’s a big family gathering or a small budget wedding, you want to make sure you plan it all in advance. Your wedding planner will help you finalise your timeline and distribute this information with everyone involved so that everyone is clear about what needs to be done.
Create a Timeline and stick to it! Your wedding photographer, videographer and musicians will thank you.
Get plenty of rest the night before
Get plenty of rest the night before. You’re going to want all your energy for the big day. Forget staying up late with your girls or watching a movie with your fiancee. Get a good night’s sleep. Take a long bath, put on a mask, watch some Friends re-runs, whatever it takes to relax yourself into dreamland! You’re going to be feeling great and looking fresh the next day.
A stress-free wedding morning
The morning of the wedding is one of the most important times because you have to get ready for one of the most important days of your life. If you are someone who takes a long time to get ready then we suggest getting up early and making sure that you have everything planned out beforehand. If you are someone who doesn’t take too long then you should still get up early so that you can take your time doing things at a leisurely pace.
Allow plenty of time for hair and make-up trials with your bridal party, that way there will be no surprises on the big day and everyone knows what to expect.
Allow enough time for your group photos
You might be surprised by how much time it takes to assemble a group of people for photos and then get them in the right places, smiling and looking in the right direction. Even with the help of a wedding coordinator or your wedding photographer wrangler, it will take longer than you think. There’s always one or two guests who aren’t ready when it’s time to take group photos. If you want these photos to happen at a specific time of the day, such as during cocktail hour or just before the reception, allow extra time so that you don’t miss out on the chance for these pictures.
Get the help of a wedding coordinator
If there’s one person who should be able to help you reduce stress on your wedding day, it’s a professional wedding coordinator. This person will be there to answer questions, remind you when it’s time to walk down the aisle, make sure everything runs smoothly, etc.
Delegate
Your wedding is supposed to be a fun and memorable experience, but if you try to do everything yourself it will end up being exhausting and stressful. Instead, delegate some jobs to other people, such as your bridesmaids or family members, so that you aren’t left doing everything yourself.
Asking for help is not a sign of weakness. You will probably have family members and friends who are more than willing to assist you with anything you need. Don’t be afraid to take them up on their offer!
What if it rains on your wedding day?
Couples often worry about their pictures getting ruined if it rains on their wedding day. While there are a few things you can do to set yourself up for success in inclement weather. The weather is something that you can’t control, but rain doesn’t have to ruin your special day. Have an indoor location in mind as a backup in case it rains. It could be a large dining room or even an unoccupied ballroom at your hotel venue.
